As a birth doula, I provide emotional, physical, and informational support to women in labor and during the birth of their child. If you have a husband, partner, friend, or family member who will also be supporting you, I do not replace a partner or primary support person, but rather work with this person to create a strong and supportive team. I can provide encouragement, reassurance, different perspectives, make suggestions for labor progress, remind you of your birth plan, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning, and other techniques for your comfort. I can provide information to help you make informed choices before and during labor, and I will support any decision you make.
My doula services include:
*Free, no obligation interview
*1-2 prenatal meetings
*Available by phone and e-mail throughout your pregnancy
*On call beginning at 38 weeks until the birth of your baby
*Continuous labor support
*1-2 hour immediate postpartum support (or until you're ready for me to go)
*1 postpartum visit at your home including breastfeeding and latch support, if needed
*Phone and e-mail support for up to six weeks after birth
*A list of local resources compiled by me for care related to pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and infant needs
*Basic photography of labor and/or birth with your camera as I'm able (if desired)
My rates
My fee for the above services is $800

*Local discount: I love supporting moms from Salem to North Portland, and all cities in between, but I do offer a $100 off discount for residents of Wilsonville, OR or those birthing within 15 minutes of Wilsonville (Meridian Park, Aurora Birth Center, or home). Contact me for further information on this discount.

Repeat client discount: I love supporting moms I've worked with in the past! I offer a $150 discount for repeat clients. (And yes, repeat clients that are local can pair the two discounts for $250 off).

*If the above fee is difficult for your family financially, please let me know. I believe everyone should have a doula who wants one, and I'd love to have a conversation about how to make the financial side of things work for both of us.

I am currently a very part time birth doula and won't take more than a couple births a month. I also do not take births every month, so when you hire me as your doula, I am able to give your birth the attention it deserves! Since some labors can be extremely long, I am committed to providing continuous support and do not call a back-up doula after a certain length of time. Scheduling only a couple births a month not only reduces the unlikely chance of overlapping births, but also allows me to be refreshed and 100% focused when I support someone throughout their labor.
Interested in an educational labor and birth planning session?
Some couples wish to make birth an intimate experience without any additional support persons or aren't sure they want a doula for their birth. If you prefer not to have a doula present for your birth, but you would like information and educational support prenatally and postpartum, I offer this for a fee of $250 for those that live within a half hour of Wilsonville, OR.

Two 1.5-2 hour prenatal meetings
Phone and e-mail support throughout pregnancy
Text support during labor
Phone and e-mail support up to six weeks postpartum
Referrals to local resources and parent support groups
At the prenatal meetings we can discuss your wishes for labor and birth, review or help you create a birth plan (if desired), and hear your priorities, fears, and concerns. I can provide information and education as needed about pregnancy, different situations that my arise during labor and birth, and we can discuss your personal ways of coping with pain, fatigue and difficult situations.

If you decide you wish to hire me as your labor and birth doula after one or both of these prenatal meetings and I have availability in my schedule to be on call for your birth, this educational fee will be applied toward my full service fee.
